Glasco House :: A Luxury Stay in the Catskills

Hi friends!

Hope you’ve all been out and about enjoying the Fall weather! This season is extra special for me, as it I always has me returning to the Northeast and exploring my home state of New York. Back in September, I had the opportunity to head down to the Catskills and stay in the BEAUTIFUL Glasco House - a luxury rental property nestled between the towns of Woodstock and Saugerties.

This picture perfect home is situated on a sprawling 16 acres of land, with stunning views of the infamous Overlook Mountain. As soon as you turn down the drive, it feels as if you’ve entered your own private oasis. And with space for up to 16 guests, it can make for both an intimate, tranquil getaway or a perfect setting to house your next friend reunion (which I think we can all use right about now!).

I loved that Woodstock was just a quick car ride away, as the town is one of my favorites. While it’s very tempting to not leave the serene bubble of Glasco, I promise it’s worth spending an afternoon exploring the area! The trailhead to Overlook is also a quick drive up the road. On a clear day, the mountain provides a stunning view of the surrounding peaks.

The architecture of the main house is truly awe-inspiring. Converted from a barn in the 1970s, the home simultaneously feels grand and cozy. Down the front hallway, you’ll find two of the four deluxe bedrooms, and beyond awaits the MASSIVE living space (the ceilings are 30 feet high!). The kitchen and an outdoor patio complete the downstairs floor plan, and upstairs are the remaining two bedrooms. I stayed in the Linden King suite, which has an incredible view of the property and Overlook mountain in the distance. Sipping my morning coffee by the window was one of my favorite parts of the room! It also has a giant fireplace, which I bet come winter will make for an extra snuggly setting.

Since the weather was still very much on the warm side, I spent a good portion of my stay meandering along the paths that surround the property. Evenings were kicked off round the giant campfire ring, watching the light shift from gold to blue.
